who we are

A Program Built by Someone Who Learned the Hard Way

Twenty-nine years ago, Resolute Place founder Ric R. got sober and lost nearly everything — his marriage, his career, his home. Not because recovery failed him, but because the program he entered wasn’t built for someone with a professional life worth protecting. Resolute Place is the program he wished had existed.

Located in South Jordan, Utah, we are a small, private residential recovery program designed exclusively for working professionals. Every element of our program was built around the pressures, priorities, and privacy needs of people with careers to protect, families to repair, and lives worth fighting for. We don’t ask you to put your life on hold to get sober. We help you get sober while holding your life together.

Our values

What We Believe About Recovery

At Resolute Place, our values aren’t statements on a wall. They’re the decisions we make every day about how we design our program, how we treat our residents, and what we believe recovery should look like for professionals.

Your Privacy Is Non-Negotiable

Your stay, your name, and everything you share with us is fully confidential — protected by our policies, our facility design, and our genuine understanding of what professional privacy requires.

Recovery Without Walls

We don’t believe in confining professionals to rigid institutional schedules. Our program delivers the support you need while preserving the freedom that keeps you grounded and engaged.

No Choosing Between Sobriety and Career

High-speed internet, video conferencing, concierge services, and transportation support ensure that critical professional responsibilities are managed — while your recovery stays front and center.

Sobriety Is a New Way of Living

Recovery means building an entirely new relationship with yourself, your stress, and your daily routine. We help you develop the habits and self-awareness that make sober living sustainable long after you leave.

We Understand What You’re Carrying

High-pressure careers bring a specific kind of stress that most recovery programs don’t account for. Ours does — equipping you with the professional coping strategies that make sobriety sustainable in the real world you return to.

Physical Wellness Is Part of Recovery

Residents have access to tennis, golf, pickleball, skiing, and gym facilities as a structured part of their program — because an active body and healthy routine are essential to lasting sobriety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Resolute Place was founded by Ric R., who has been in recovery for twenty-nine years. When Ric got sober, he lost his marriage, his career, and his home — not because recovery failed, but because the program he entered wasn’t designed for someone with a professional life to protect. He built Resolute Place to give working professionals a better option: a private, individualized path to sobriety that doesn’t require sacrificing everything else to pursue it.

Resolute Place is designed exclusively for working professionals — primarily men — who are navigating alcohol or drug addiction while managing careers, families, and reputations. Our residents are high-functioning people who recognize their problem and want to address it before the bottom drops out. If you need effective, evidence-based addiction treatment delivered with complete discretion and professional flexibility, Resolute Place was built for you.

Traditional recovery homes are designed for general populations in large clinical settings with standardized treatment models. Resolute Place is a small, private residential program built exclusively around the needs of working professionals. That means individualized recovery plans, licensed clinical oversight, concierge and professional support services, family-integrated therapy, and a level of privacy and discretion that institutional programs simply cannot offer.

Resolute Place are structured, but not rigid. Mornings typically begin with a nutritionally balanced staff prepared breakfast before residents leave for work, or settle into an office space to begin their workday.

In the evenings, we gather for a staff-prepared group meal. Around the table, residents have the opportunity to share the experiences, challenges, and progress of the day as they learn to navigate life without drugs or alcohol.

Resolute Place is not affiliated with any specific religious organization. While we facilitate participation in 12-step meetings and recognize the value of peer-based recovery frameworks for many residents, our clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practices — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care — and is tailored to the individual needs and beliefs of each resident.

The first step is a confidential phone call or email directly to Ric. There are no intake forms to navigate alone, no automated phone systems, and no pressure to commit to anything in that first conversation. You’ll speak directly with someone who understands what you’re going through, can answer your questions honestly, and will help you determine whether Resolute Place is the right fit for your situation. Call 385-227-4811 or email ric@resoluteplace.com whenever you’re ready.
